We are pleased to announce that scholarship applications for the European Forum Alpbach (EFA) 2026 are now open! This prestigious forum, held annually in Alpbach, Austria, brings together young professionals, academics, policymakers, and thought leaders to engage in interdisciplinary discussions on Europe's most pressing challenges.
The EFA Scholarship Programme provides an unparalleled opportunity to:
● Participate in interactive seminars led by top experts
● Attend high-level conferences with global decision-makers
● Engage in cultural and networking activities
● Join a diverse community of changemakers from around the world
Theme & Thematic Tracks
This year’s theme, "How Europe Wins," will explore four critical areas shaping our future:
● Democracy & the Rule of Law
● Security
● Climate
● Finance & Economy
Scholarship Packages
The scholarship covers the participation fee and accommodation costs.
Applicants may request additional support (food, transportation, special needs, etc.) when completing the application. The allocation of such support depends on the availability of relevant financial resources.
Who can apply?
Young individuals aged 18-30 (up to 35 for applicants from the Global South) with at least a B2 level of English.
