Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) is the first national university in Georgia and the first higher education institution in the South Caucasus region. It established formal education in the country, created the local intellectual workforce and paved the way for human development and democracy. Today, TSU is a leading research university in Georgia with more than 200 research projects initiated annually and with 2,156 publications (Scopus Data – 2015-2018).
