The Academic Book Festival “Vine, Wheat, Heritage” has opened at TSU. Dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Ivane Javakhishvili’s birth, the event showcases wheat, wine, and academic books reflecting the nation’s historical memory, educational tradition, and spiritual values.
The festival features Georgian endemic wheat varieties and wines presented by Georgian companies. There are also traditional bread tastings, public lectures and discussions. Guests can visit an exhibition and sale of wine and wheat products, familiarize themselves with the latest scientific publications and participate in the festival.
Ivane Javakhishvili wine, bottled by the Mildiani family winery and dedicated to the scientist’s 150th anniversary, attracted special attention. This wine combines Georgian winemaking traditions and historical heritage.
The festival is being held in collaboration with the TSU Library Friends Club, Tbilisi City Hall, and Tbilisi City Assembly.
