E-learning at TSU

TSU faculties are actively getting ready for the learning process, involving synchronous and asynchronous e-learning methods.

▪️The process will differ by faculties and the faculty administrations will provide detailed information to students through LMS.TSU.GE.

▪️During the first stage (from March 23), asynchronous learning method will be used more intensively, as part of which video, audio or text versions of lectures will be uploaded on LMS or Moodle (depending on the decisions of faculties). Homework and recommended literature will also be uploaded on the platform.

☝️ In addition, professors will gradually move to delivering synchronous lectures.

👉 TSU is actively negotiating with Internet providers to offer concessionary rates to students. The latter will be informed immediately once the decision is made.

▪️Moreover, as soon as on-campus studies are resumed, lecturers will deliver additional lectures (according to individual schemes) to those students who have no access to either Internet or relevant electronic devices.

👉 TSU Student Self-Government will ensure that students who have no access to Internet are supplied with print or electronic materials at the faculties.

▪️TSU students have full access to international electronic databases, among others Elsevier, Scopus, Sciencedirect, EBSCO, Econlit England Journal, Oxford Textbook of Medicine, JSTOR, BioOne; ECD-Library, Cambridge Journals Online, HINARI Health.

▪️Moreover, students have access to over 12,000 books through TSU Library’s electronic database.

▪️Presently, the evaluation system is being revised and draft amendments are being developed. We will gradually provide students with detailed information about this and other details.
