ERASMUS Mundus Action 2

 

Erasmus Mundus aims to enhance quality in higher education through scholarships and academic cooperation between Europe and the rest of the world. Erasmus Mundus Action 2 programme is a cooperation and mobility scheme in the area of higher education cooperation launched by Europe Aid cooperation Office and implemented by the Executive Agency Education, Audiovisual and Culture (EACEA). The main objective of the programme is to help improve and enhance career prospects of students and to achieve better intercultural understanding and mutual enrichment between the European Union and Third Countries.

 

TSU joined the prestigious league of ERASMUS Mundus Action 2 universities in 2007 and over the course of several years participated in 6 large consortium projects, 2 of which have been co-coordinated by the Department of Foreign Relations at TSU; by joining these partnerships new opportunities for TSU student and staff mobilities emerged. In particular, ERASMUS Mundus Action 2 projects offered institution-based mobility and scholarship schemes financed by the European Union and organized by different Partnerships of some of the most prestigious universities in Europe and in Third Countries. 

 

As a result of the projects, structured cooperation and enhanced quality teaching has been achieved through promoting the exchange of persons, knowledge and skills at the university level. The mobility scheme also greatly contributed to the international cooperation capacity among the projects’ participant institutions.
