Call for TSU Master's level students at the European Commission-funded Erasmus + Scholarships at the University of Paris-Saclay (France)!

!!! Physical mobility will depend on the epidemiological situation in Georgia and France, as well as on entry and stay regulations in the host country

The call is valid for students of the second semester of master's level studies in biology at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences and the fifth-tenth semester students of the Faculty of Medicine at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University

Mobility Period: Spring Semester 2022

Duration of mobility: 3 months

Applicants will study for the following master's program: Life sciences and health | University of Paris-Saclay

Prerequisite for admission to the competition is one of the following:

a) The following certificates have taken at least 4 calendar years before the end of the registration of the current competition: TOEFL (90 iBT), IELTS (6.5 minimum average score) or CAMBRIDGE (FCE) certificate;

b) TSU institutional language test results (not less than 71 points), which is valid during the testing semester and the next 1 semester (respectively, the test results of March 2, 2021, and October 6, 2021, are valid for the purposes of this competition);

 OR 

c) An official certificate of attendance at a foreign higher education institution for at least 1 semester, where the language of instruction was the same at the university/program you are applying for;

Minimum GPA: 3.0

Scholarship Selection Process:

1. Checking the electronic application and relevant documentation (Tbilisi State University);
2. Final Selection / Scholarship Award (Host University)

List of application documentation

1. A copy of a passport (in case you do not have one, please upload a copy of your ID card); 
2. CV in Europass format (in English);
3. Certificate of enrollment at TSU (in English);
4. Extract of current assessments according to the educational disciplines passed by the applicant, with reference to the GPA (in English; scanned PDF version);

5. Scanned PDF version of the bachelor's degree;

   Undergraduate Diploma Supplement with GPA Indication in English;

6. Proof of foreign language proficiency (international language certificate or certificate of study abroad at the university level for at least 1 semester, if any. pplicants with the minimum score of 71 points in TSU institutional language test, do not need to upload a document);
7. An Official certificate/document confirming disability, if applicable (scanned PDF version);
8. Completed learning Agreement. To complete the agreement, see the courses offered by the University of Paris-Saclay, select the list of subjects you are interested in, consult with your faculty quality assurance service, then fill in the first page of the document; once filled, the document should be signed and stamped by a relevant representative of the home Faculty QA service and the applicant), appendix 1. (Please see the order/regulation);
9. A letter of recommendation (on the electronic registration portal (mobility.tsu.ge) ge you must enter the data of your recommender in the recommender field. A link is instantly sent to the recommender by e-mail, where he/she fills in the recommendation online);
10. Cover letter not more than 1 page; Technical characteristics: Font - Times New Roman, font size - 12, line spacing - 1.0, fields - 2 cm. (Cover letter must be written in the language of instruction of the program for which the applicant is applying (pdf. version);

Students interested in applying for the program should register on the electronic registration portal mobility.tsu.ge and upload the full list of application documentation (in pdf format) and send the application electronically by 14:00, on November 4th,2021!

Please note that the mobility management portal mobility.tsu.ge mobility.tsu.ge:

• Does not register applications after the expiration of the above deadline (at 14:00, November 4th,2021);
• Does not register an incomplete application package;
• The application form is considered electronically submitted only after pressing the send button!
• Upon successful submission of the application documentation, the applicant will receive a relevant email notification;
• The time and date of the interviews will be sent individually to all applicants by e-mail indicated on the portal mobility.tsu.ge.
• Applicants will be interviewed remotely! 

b) Finances and restrictions related to Covid-19

Please note that:

• Physical mobility may be related to compliance with administrative rules and regulations related to entry into the recipient country, such as possession of a full Covid-19 vaccination certificate, PCR testing (single or multiple), quarantine stay, travel, health and accident insurance, and more. Which is related to financial costs and time resources. All such expenses must be reimbursed by the student participating in the mobility.
• Due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, in exceptional cases, mobility for the spring semester of 2022 may be canceled or postponed until the fall semester of the 2022-23 academic year!
• These exchange programs do not cover reimbursement of visa fees and international insurance costs; consequently, these costs must be reimbursed by the student participating in the mobility!
• To book a room in a dormitory it may be necessary to pay in advance for booking, the amount of which varies by country, city, and type of dormitory.

C) The basis for organizing the competition and the selection procedure

• Joint Order of the Rector and the Head of Administration of TSU on approval of the selection rule for International student exchange and mobility programs at LEPL - Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

• Following Article 49², Paragraph 4 of the Law of Georgia on Higher Education, students retain active enrolment at their home universities while on a study abroad. Therefore, successful completion of the administrative registration at TSU at the beginning of each semester spent abroad is mandatory! Noncompliance with this rule will result in the suspension of mobility.
