Internship at the University Quality Assurance Service

In order to develop a culture of quality at the university, the QAS has been conducting student internships since 2018. Interns participate in the teaching-learning, research and institutional effectiveness assessment processes, promoting the active involvement of students in the QAS activities. Since 2018, students have participated in activities of drafting educational programs and development committees.

The purposes of internships are:

  • To develop a culture of quality within the university for teaching-learning and research;
  • To consider and reflect on the processes of compiling and developing educational programs;
  • To elaborate and improve university services by offering student feedback;
  •  To raise student awareness of quality assurance;
  •  To develop students’ knowledge and skills in the field of quality assurance for potential future   employment;
  • To develop students' communication skills and promote socialization;
  • To promote student career advancement.

Cooperation with student interns was established within QAS since the spring semester of 2018, based on the already established tradition in the University Administration. Since 2019, student internships in this Service have been a regular part of the development of educational programs. To gain further experience, the Quality Assurance Service of the University recommends that MA student interns participate in these newly established internal evaluation processes at the university as “student experts”. Their ideas can be raised and discussed at a later stage in the central and faculty administrative circles of the university.

QAS announces an internship once a year. The internship lasts three months. Information about the internship competition is posted on the website of the Service, indicating a list of mandatory documents to be submitted for the competition. In a second phase, if candidates are selected on the basis of adequate documentation, they will pass to the second, interview stage. An interview commission is appointed according to internal university regulations, and the time and place of interviews are announced. Participants in the competition must keep themselves informed about the conditions of the competition and follow the deadlines.
