EUA Thematic Peer Group “Need and Wellbeing of Students and Staff”

Tbilisi State University has become a member of EUA Thematic Peer Group once again at the initiative of the Quality Assurance Service and on its application. TSU is the only university in Georgia that participates in the work of the 2022 EUA TPGs together with 31 European universities. Each TPG gathers representatives from European higher education institutions with strategic responsibility for learning and teaching at their institution.

The 2022 round (March 2022 to February 2023) is organised as part of the DIGI-HE project, with a focus on the following three themes:

  • Digitally competent teachers in designing quality learning environment;
  • Collaborative teaching practice;
  • Needs and well-being of students and staff.

The Need and Wellbeing of Students and Staff Thematic Group, with the participation of representatives from leading universities in the United Kingdom, Austria, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, and Finland, worked for a year to share experiences and develop recommendations.

The first coordination meeting of the thematic groups was held on March 15, 2022, in a remote format. The members of the group presented their institutions and made plans for cooperation on the frequency, format, and duration of the meetings. The next meetings were held on March 21, April 1, and 11, as well as in the summer period and in autumn. The innovative practices and digitally enhanced approaches related to the identified challenges from the previous meetings were discussed. 

 

From Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in this TPG were participated the representatives of the Quality Assurance Service - Irma Grdzelidze, Tinatin Davitashvili and Sopio Idadze.
