Jaba Samushia Meets with Students

Tbilisi State University Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia met with students from all seven faculties of TSU, at various levels. At the meeting, the Rector briefly introduced the university's news to the students and spoke about issues that will be implemented in the near future with their involvement.

The Rector focused on solving the problem of duplicated study courses and creating new textbooks. He noted that, within the next two or three years, TSU students will study updated programs using modern textbook standards.

About 60 projects were funded in the first round of the student project funding competition at TSU. Jaba Samushia encouraged students to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the university in the fields of science, sports and culture.

The Rector spoke to students about another important opportunity. According to him, doctoral students will have the opportunity to hold academic positions at the university. This will help attract young scientists and involve them in the educational process.

Jaba Samushia called on students to participate in the student festival, which includes intellectual, sports, cultural and volunteer activities. The festival will include field events, youth camps, and conferences.
