The Rector of Tbilisi State University (TSU), Academician Jaba Samushia, and the Head of TSU’s Department of Foreign Relations, Tea Gergedava, met with the Rector of the University of Bologna, Giovanni Molari, and the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Raffaella Campaner.
The main purpose of visiting the University of Bologna was to thoroughly discuss the existing cooperation between the two universities, evaluate the results achieved so far, and identify new promising areas for developing the partnership further.
The parties discussed the possibilities of expanding cooperation in education, research and institutional development. The meeting particularly highlighted the positive dynamics of the cooperation between TSU and the University of Bologna. The existing partnership is characterized by various activities, such as student and academic mobility, joint educational initiatives, and different forms of institutional collaboration.
Both parties emphasized that strong academic ties create a solid foundation for further deepening cooperation and developing new, innovative projects.
The meeting emphasized that active cooperation with the European educational space is one of the priority areas of Tbilisi State University’s internationalization policy. This visit is another important step towards the practical implementation of this strategy, further strengthening TSU’s international positioning.
