In recognition of their long-standing and fruitful academic collaboration with Tbilisi State University (TSU) and their exceptional contributions to the development of algebra in Georgia, TSU Deputy Rector Nino Gvenetadze presented medals to Professors Efim Zelmanov (University of California, San Diego, USA; University of Science and Technology of China) and Alexei Miasnikov (Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, USA).
During a meeting with TSU Rector Academician Jaba Samushia, foreign scientists and representatives of the TSU Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences discussed ways to increase TSU's international profile and strengthen its links with top universities around the world. The event was also attended by Deputy Rector Erekle Astakhishvili, Dean of the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences Petre Babilua, and other faculty representatives.
