As part of the Rustaveli National Science Foundation SPG-25-652 “Chemistry in Medicine and Agriculture” project, TSU representatives visited Ambrolauri Public School No. 2. Employees from the Chemistry Department at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of TSU gave an entertaining lecture to the schoolchildren.
The schoolchildren participated in various experiments with great interest: a volcano “erupted”, soft drinks were made, flowers changed colors before their eyes, and drawings appeared on the surface of milk.
Each experiment was fun and educational; the children saw how chemistry “comes alive” in everyday life.
Eliza Markarashvili, the head of the Macromolecule Chemistry Teaching and Scientific Laboratory at the Chemistry Department of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and coordinator of the Children's University, led the project.
