Tbilisi State University (TSU) has concluded the design competition for a new educational-administrative building. On the initiative of TSU Rector Jaba Samushia, a modern educational-administrative building will be constructed adjacent to the 1st and 2nd buildings of TSU, which will also include student spaces.
A commission composed of architects, art experts and university representatives will select the winning project from eight submissions. The winning project should functionally and visually satisfy the purpose of the new building, without altering the historical landscape of the 1st and 2nd buildings of TSU. The design concept should consider the historical and architectural context and characteristics of the area. Project submissions closed on January 30. From January 31, projects created by eight architecture companies have been displayed in the 1st building of TSU for review and evaluation.
