Graduation Ceremony of Graduates of TSU Vocational Education Center

 

The Rector of Tbilisi State University, Academician Jaba Samushia congratulated the graduates of the Vocational Education Center on their graduation and awarded them diplomas. 200 graduates have graduated from the Vocational Education Center of TSU (Tbilisi, Kutaisi) in 2023.

 

The graduation ceremony of the class of 2023 was also attended by the Vice Rector of TSU Kakhaber Cheishvili, the Head of the TSU Vocational Education Center Levan Tsikaridze, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, heads of programs, lecturers, and invited guests.

 

“A graduation ceremony of the graduates of the TSU Vocational Education Center was held. I congratulate about 200 students who studied in 8 professional programs in Tbilisi and Kutaisi. They have acquired an additional profession, which some of them are already using successfully. I am sure that the knowledge and skills acquired here will help them to find a job,” said TSU Vice Rector Kakhaber Cheishvili.

 

Ketevan Varsimashvili is one of the graduates of the Vocational Education Center. According to her, while studying in the professional program – “Organization of Events”, lectures were given by professional lecturers. “I am happy that at this age I was given the opportunity to study at the vocational program of Tbilisi State University. I am already using this profession, I have acquired the best team with professional lecturers,” Ketevan Varsimashvili noted.

 

Vocational education programs have been implemented at TSU since 2007. Since 2019, the Vocational Education Center has been responsible for the administration of vocational programs. All vocational programs operating at TSU are 100% financed by the state. Currently, about 400 students are studying in 8 vocational programs in Tbilisi and Kutaisi. Among the students there are people of different ages and professions who want to learn a new profession.

 

In 2023, the TSU Vocational Education Center admitted students in Tbilisi and Kutaisi for the following programs: accounting, preschool education, customs affairs, event organization, office work, financial services, library work, truck logistics.
