A delegation from Tbilisi State University, led by Chancellor Lasha Saghinadze, visited Heriot-Watt University in Scotland as part of a Transnational Education (TNE) Partnerships Grant Project funded by the British Council.
During the visit, the two universities signed a memorandum of cooperation, laying the groundwork for a deeper partnership in the areas of university governance, internationalization, and transnational education.
The delegation gained detailed insight into Heriot-Watt University’s internationalization model and transnational education practices. They also learned about the "Go Global" system, which allows students to continue their studies at Heriot-Watt University’s campuses in Dubai and Malaysia.
Founded in 1821, Heriot-Watt University has five campuses worldwide and is renowned for its international partnerships and “One University” model.
