A delegation from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU), led by Chancellor Lasha Saghinadze, participated in the 2026 European Association for International Education (EAIE) conference and exhibition in Glasgow.
Over the course of three days, the TSU representatives held dozens of bilateral meetings with representatives from universities, international university networks, and organizations from various countries around the world.
Key topics of discussion included increasing student, academic and administrative staff mobility, developing joint educational programs and research projects, organizing international events, and forming new institutional partnerships.
On the sidelines of the EAIE Glasgow 2026, Chancellor Saghinadze met with the rectors of the universities of Macerata, Istanbul, Çukurova, Hong Kong, and Artvin. The meetings addressed TSU’s capacity to host large-scale international academic events and its potential to further strengthen its role as a regional academic hub.
