“Dear students, professors, and colleagues, congratulations on the start of the new academic year! This day is always associated with new opportunities, motivation, and expectations. Successes and challenges begin on this path, shaping the future and adding new chapters to our university’s history. May your hard work and motivation lead to success and may learning and teaching be interesting and fruitful. Through unity and cooperation, we will further strengthen our university,” said TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia in his congratulatory message to students and professors on the start of the new 2025-2026 academic year. This year, more than 26 thousand students will study at seven faculties of the university.
Rector Jaba Samushia, faculty deans and the President of the Student Self-Government met with 6,115 first-semester students enrolled in the bachelor's degree program through the 2025 Unified National Examinations and congratulated them on the start of the academic year. During the meeting, students received detailed information about university projects and services. Certificates and souvenirs were presented to the highest-scoring first-semester students enrolled in various TSU faculties.
Traditionally, the most successful young people were enrolled at TSU this year. According to the National Center for Assessment and Examinations, the largest number of first-semester grantees will study at TSU. Additionally, the largest number of entrants with a 100% grant were enrolled at TSU - every third entrant with a 100% grant nationwide is enrolled at TSU.
TSU offers about 240 accredited programs at all three levels of education, including programs with international accreditation. There are about 85 teaching and research laboratories across the faculties and 16 scientific-research institutes.
