Universities within the USAID Educating the Future program for long-term collaboration

The selection process for partner universities within the USAID Educating the Future program for long-term collaboration has concluded.

The commission has finalized its decision on the following partner universities:

Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University

Akaki Tsereteli State University

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University

St. Andrew the First-Called Georgian University of the Patriarchate of Georgia

Congratulations to these universities on their success!

The USAID Educating the Future program is dedicated to providing ongoing support for the development of teacher training and education science programs at the selected universities. This collaborative effort will be realized in partnership with Arizona State University (USA).

Under this initiative within the selected universities:

New courses based on Universal Design for Learning (UDL) will be developed.

The practical component for school practice will be strengthened.

Teaching and research competences of academic staff will be enhanced.

Access to modern scientific literature will be supported.

The involvement of university academic staff and students in international networks will be supported.

Universities that are currently implementing or planning to implement teacher training and/or education science MA programs are encouraged to apply in the selection process. A total of 15 universities expressed their desire to partner with the program for long-term collaboration.

It is important to note that there are plans in place for diverse collaborations with public and private higher education institutions within the project. These collaborations present new opportunities for engagement.
