TSU Dormitory Design Over, Tender Announced for Construction Work

The six-month design phase for the strengthening and reconstruction of the student dormitory of Tbilisi State University has been completed and a tender for the construction and reconstruction of the building has already been announced, after which, the winning company will begin construction.

The dormitory designed for up to 300 students will be located on the territory of the High Energy Physics Institute of TSU and will fully meet modern standards. The building will also house a cafeteria, a social room and a library, as well as the necessary infrastructure for sports activities.

Jaba Samushia, the rector of TSU, together with Lasha Saghinadze, the head of TSU Administration, and other representatives of the administration, inspected the territory of the new dormitory.

“A few months ago, we announced a tender for the development of the strengthening and rehabilitation project of the university dormitory. The winning company has completed all stages of the design and today we have already announced a tender for both the strengthening of the building and the rehabilitation of a separate part. We believe that after a certain period, TSU will have a new student dormitory,” said Rector Jaba Samushia.
