Online Premiere of TSU Inclusive Theatre

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ira Kokhreidze’s Inclusive Theatre at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University offers an experimental premiere, which will be held online on November 28 at 8pm and all interested persons will be able to watch it on Facebook.

The inclusive theatre will present a premiere “Beyond The Mystic Mountain” with the support of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia. “The COVID-19 pandemic made us choose this experimental and unusual format. On the one hand, it is a challenge for our theatre, and on the other, it is an opportunity to gain interesting experience,” says Ira Kokhreidze, theatre director.

“Beyond The Mystic Mountain” is a philosophical play, which describes the path a human passes after birth. It also outlines human ambitions, aspirations, methods to achieve various goals, etc. But suddenly, the situation in the play makes a U-turn.

The Tbilisi State University is cooperating with Ira Kokhreidze’s Inclusive Theatre in the spheres of culture, inclusive education and arts in order to promote holding of inclusive plays. For the first time in the history of Georgian inclusive arts, the play “Contact” staged by the inclusive theatre achieved the first international recognition and success at China International Arts Festival in 2019.  The play also participated in GIFT - Georgian International Festival of Arts.
