The Rector of Tbilisi State University (TSU), Academician Jaba Samushia, hosted students who returned from the United States where they participated in a joint project with the University of Texas (UT Dallas).
During the meeting, the doctoral students shared their experiences, discussed collaboration with their foreign colleagues, and noted the importance of connecting researchers with similar research topics to create a common research network, strengthen knowledge exchange, and plan new joint projects.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of mobility programs and opportunities to deepen professional knowledge. “Your international experience is the foundation that will strengthen both your professional development and the research potential of our university in the future. We will always support you in making your ideas and initiatives a reality,” noted Rector Samushia.
The mobility program, implemented through a partnership between TSU and UT Dallas, aims to strengthen research potential in Georgia. To date, 12 doctoral students in various scientific fields have already benefited from the program.
Three TSU faculties are involved in the project: the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Economics and Business, and, for the first time this year, the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences.
