Call for the third-semester students of the Joint Master's Program in Tourism to obtain funding for the final (4th) semester at the Université Lumière Lyon 2 (France)!

 

 

!!! Physical mobility will depend on the epidemiological situation in Georgia and France, as well as on entry and stay regulations in the host country

 

 

 

The call is open for the third semester of the Joint Master's Program in Tourism between Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and the Université Lumière Lyon 2, who have not received an ERASMUS + International Credit Mobility Grant for the same purpose.

 

 

Mobility Period: Spring Semester 2022 (January - April 2022)

Duration of mobility: 3 calendar months

Funding amount: 850 Euros equivalent in GEL every month (3 months in total)               

Reimbursement of travel expenses:  not more than 530 Euros according to the expenses actually incurred (Economy travel class - plane, train and bus tickets)

 

A prerequisite for admission to the competition is a French-language knowledge certificate (B1 level). For the purposes of this competition, a valid French language proficiency document is considered one of the following::

A) DELF / DALF and TCF Certificate of French Proficiency obtained not later than 2 calendar years;

B) Positive result of TSU language test (March 2, 2021, or October 6, 2021);

C) Positive test result of French language (B1) written for enrollment in the master's program at TSU;

 

Scholarship Selection Process:

  1. Check the electronic application and the attached documents;
  2. Interview with the Candidates Selection Commission;
  3. Final Selection / TSU Nomination Consideration (Host University).

 

List of application documentation

  1. A copy of a passport (scanned PDF version); 
  2. CV in Europass format (in English);
  3. Certificate of enrollment at TSU (in English);
  4. Transcript of Records of the current level with reference to the GPA (in English; scanned PDF version);
  5. French language knowledge certificate. Applicants who have a positive result in TSU institutional language test, do not need to upload a document);
  6. Scanned PDF version of the bachelor's degree;
  7. Bachelor's Degree Supplement with GPA indication in English;
  8. A letter of recommendation (on the electronic registration portal (mobility.tsu.ge) ge you must enter the data of your recommender in the recommender field. A link is instantly sent to the recommender by e-mail, where he/she fills in the recommendation online);
  9. Letter of motivation in French not more than 1 page; Technical characteristics: Font - Times New Roman, font size - 12, line spacing - 1.0, fields - 2 cm. (Cover letter must be written in the language of instruction of the program for which the applicant is applying (pdf. version);

 

 

 

Students interested in applying for the program should register on the electronic registration portal mobility.tsu.ge, upload the full list of application documentation (in pdf format) and submit the complete application electronically by 16:00, on November 16th,2021!

!!! Applications sent in any other form (including e-mail) will not be considered

 

 

Additional important information:

 

1.  Electronic registration portal mobility.tsu.ge:  

A) Portal mobility.tsu.ge does not register applications after the expiration of the above deadline (at 16:00, November 16th,2021);

B) Portal mobility.tsu.ge does not register an incomplete application package;

C) The application form is considered electronically submitted only after pressing the send button!

D) Upon successful submission of the application documentation, the applicant will receive a relevant email notification;

2. The time and date of the interviews will be sent individually to all applicants by e-mail indicated on the portal mobility.tsu.ge.

3. Applicants will be interviewed remotely! 

4.  Finances and restrictions related to Covid-19: 

Please note that:

  • physical mobility may be related to compliance with administrative rules and regulations related to entry into France, such as possession of a full Covid-19 vaccination certificate, PCR testing (single or multiple), quarantine stay, travel, health and accident insurance, etc., Which is related to financial costs and time resources. All such expenses must be reimbursed by the student participating in the mobility.
  • Due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the world, in exceptional cases, the mobility of the spring semester of 2022 may be cancelled!
  • This funding does not cover the costs of visa fees, postal services, accommodation deposit, quarantine stay and international insurance costs; Consequently, these costs must be reimbursed by the student participating in the mobility!
  • In case the mobility is not implemented due to the student participating in the mobility after receiving the funding, the funding issued to him/her must be fully returned by the student participating in the mobility!

 

 

The basis for organizing the competition and the selection procedure:

  • Following Article 492, Paragraph 4 of the Law of Georgia on Higher Education, students retain active enrolment at their home universities while on a study abroad. Therefore, successful completion of the administrative registration at TSU at the beginning of each semester spent abroad is mandatory! Noncompliance with this rule will result in the suspension of mobility.
