The given call is valid for the first, the second, the third, the fourth, the fifth, and the sixth- semester undergraduate students of TSU International School of Economics (ISET) to win Erasmus + scholarships funded by the European Commission at Hochschule Geisenheim

 

 

!!! Physical mobility will depend on the epidemiological situation in Georgia and Germany, as well as on entry and stay regulations in the host country.

 

 

 

The call is open to undergraduate students of the third, fourth, fifth and sixth semesters of the International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University (ISET).

 

 

Language of instruction: English

Mobility Period: Spring Semester 2022

 

 

Prerequisite for admission to the competition is one of the following:

a) The following certificates have taken at least 4 calendar years before the end of the registration of the current competition: TOEFL (90 iBT), IELTS (6.5 minimum average score) or CAMBRIDGE (FCE) certificate;

 

b) TSU institutional language test results (not less than 71 points), which is valid during the testing semester and the next 1 semester (respectively, the test results of March 2, 2021, and October 6, 2021, are valid for the purposes of this competition);

 OR 

c) An official certificate of attendance at a foreign higher education institution for at least 1 semester, indicating the language of instruction, where English was used as the language of instruction;

 

 

 

Scholarship Selection Process:

  1. Checking the electronic application and relevant documentation (Tbilisi State University);
  2. Interview with Candidates Selection Commission (Tbilisi State University);
  3. Final Selection / Scholarship Award (Host University).

 

 

Required documents:

  1. A copy of a passport (in case you do not have one, please upload a copy of your ID card); 
  2. CV in Europass format (in English);
  3. A copy of a certificate of enrollment at TSU (in English, scanned PDF version);
  4. Extract of current assessments according to the educational disciplines passed by the applicant, with reference to the GPA (in English, scanned PDF version);
  5. Proof of foreign language proficiency (international language certificate or certificate of study abroad at the university level for at least 1 semester, if any. Applicants with the minimum score of 71 points in TSU institutional language test, do not need to upload a document);
  6. An Official certificate/document confirming disability, if applicable (scanned PDF version);
  7. Completed learning agreement (scanned PDF version). To complete the agreement, see the courses offered by Hochschule Geisenheim, select the list of subjects you are interested in, consult with your faculty quality assurance service and only then fill in the first page of the document, which must be verified by your signature and the signature of the faculty quality assurance representative. Appendix 1. (Please see the order); 
  8. A letter of recommendation (on the electronic registration portal (mobility.tsu.ge), you must enter the data of your recommender in the recommender field. A link is instantly sent to the recommender by e-mail, where he/she fills in the recommendation online).
  9. Cover letter not more than 1 page; Technical characteristics: Font - Times New Roman, font size - 12, line spacing - 1.0, fields - 2 cm. (Cover letter must be written in the language of instruction of the program for which the applicant is applying (PDF version);

 

 

Students interested in applying for the exchange program should register on the electronic registration portal for exchange and mobility program management  mobility.tsu.ge and upload the full list of application documentation (in PDF format) and submit the application electronically by 14:00 on November 8 this year!

 

 

Additional important information:

 

a) Electronic registration portal mobility.tsu.ge  

Please note that the mobility management portal mobility.tsu.ge mobility.tsu.ge:

  • Does not register applications after the expiration of the above deadline (November 8 at 14:00);
  • Does not register an incomplete application package. 
  • The application form is considered electronically submitted only after pressing the send button!. 
  • Upon successful submission of the application, the applicant will receive a relevant email notification.
  • The time and date of the interviews will be sent individually to all applicants by e-mail indicated on the portal mobility.tsu.ge.
  • Applicants will be interviewed remotely! 

 

b) Finances and restrictions related to Covid-19

Please note that:

  • Physical mobility may be related to compliance with administrative rules and regulations related to entry into the recipient country, such as possession of a full Covid-19 vaccination certificate, PCR testing (single or multiple), quarantine stay, travel, health and accident insurance, and more. Which is related to financial costs and time resources. All such expenses must be reimbursed by the student participating in the mobility.
  • Due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, in exceptional cases, mobility for the spring semester of 2022 may be canceled or postponed until the fall semester of the 2022-23 academic year!
  • These exchange programs do not cover reimbursement of visa fees and international insurance costs; consequently, these costs must be reimbursed by the student participating in the mobility!
  • In case of postponement of the given mobility at the request of the host university, the students nominated by TSU will have the right to exercise mobility no later than the 7th semester.

 

C) The basis for organizing the competition and the selection procedure

  • Following Article 492, Paragraph 4 of the Law of Georgia on Higher Education, students retain active enrolment at their home universities while on a study abroad. Therefore, successful completion of the administrative registration at TSU at the beginning of each semester spent abroad is mandatory! Noncompliance with this rule will result in the suspension of mobility.
