Students of the TSU vocational programmes “Customs Affairs” and “Freight Forwarding” paid introductory visits to Kutaisi International Airport, the Kutaisi Customs Clearance Department, and the logistics center of the largest retail company-Daily.
During the visits, students became thoroughly familiar with the specific functions of each institution, the organization of customs and logistics processes, the stages of cargo control and clearance, as well as safety and operational standards.
The vocational students were guided by heads of structural units and field specialists, who, through practical examples, introduced them to the real working environment, daily challenges, and professional responsibilities.
According to Lasha Chakvetadze, Head of the vocational programmes “Customs Affairs” and “Freight Forwarding,” the off-site activity significantly contributed to raising students’ professional awareness, improving their understanding of labor market requirements, and shaping their future career orientation. “Such practical activities are an essential component of vocational education and enhance the effectiveness of the learning process,” he noted.
