New vocational programs, new areas of specialization

The Center for Vocational Education at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University will be supported by the Turkish company "Festo Didactic" in the implementation of new vocational programs.

 

On February 13–14, the Head of the TSU Center for Vocational Education, Levan Tsikaridze, visited the FESTO laboratory in Istanbul at the invitation of Festo Didactic. During the study visit, the Georgian delegation was introduced to the individual programs developed by the Turkish company for vocational and industrial training, as well as detailed information about its modern equipment, digital platforms, and software solutions used to support practical learning. The company's main areas of focus include: mechatronics, automation, Industry 4.0, fluid dynamics (pneumatics and hydraulics), electrical engineering, and more. Alongside the Head of the TSU Center for Vocational Education, representatives from the Georgian Technical University, Batumi State Maritime Academy, Gldani Vocational Training Center, and the company "Softmaster" also participated in the meetings from Georgia.

 

During the visit, the management of "Festo Didactic" expressed their readiness to support the TSU Center for Vocational Education in the implementation of new vocational programs in the following areas: Mechatronics, automation, Industry 4.0, electrical engineering, renewable energy resource extraction, and technical operation. According to the Head of the Center, Levan Tsikaridze, there is a high demand for the above-mentioned specialists both in Georgia and in international employment markets.
