The History of the First National University for Vocational Students

Students of the TSU Vocational Education Center visited the First Building of the University, where they learned about the history of its establishment. The educational visit was organized within the framework of the Career Development Programme.

At the TSU Museum, students heard fascinating stories about the founders of the first national university in the Caucasus, its first students and academic staff, the earliest exchange programmes, and Georgian students sent to study in Europe and the United States. They also viewed photographs and documentary materials reflecting these and other historical facts.

The visit continued at the Vazha-Pshavela Memorial Museum, located in the university room where the great Georgian poet and writer spent the last days of his life. The permanent exhibition presents materials on Vazha-Pshavela’s life and creative work, including manuscripts and personal belongings.
