TSU Vocational Students Visit Tbilisi "CCEZ"

Students of the Customs Affairs vocational program (Tbilisi) visited the Tbilisi Customs Clearance Economic Zone and gained practical knowledge about the procedures required after goods/products enter the country.

The future customs specialists were guided by the Deputy Head of Tbilisi "CCEZ," Data Arkania. The students were systematically introduced to customs formalities and procedures carried out in the zone. These include filling out customs declarations, controlling declarations assigned to the yellow and red corridors, inspecting transport vehicles, overseeing the loading and unloading of goods, and more.

As vocational instructor Giorgi Tsiklauri noted, such field visits are conducted frequently as the TSU Vocational Education Center places great emphasis on practical training. "These visits serve as motivation and encouragement for students to study more effectively and to see the career opportunities available to them after graduation, including employment in customs structures," stated Giorgi Tsiklauri.

According to the vocational students, their visit to Tbilisi "CCEZ" was highly interesting. "We explored and familiarized ourselves with all the details and nuances of the Customs Clearance Economic Zone. I am very satisfied with today's experience. It has motivated me to start thinking about how to plan my future career in the customs field," - said Nino Ivaniashvili.

Alongside theoretical learning, gaining practical experience was also valuable for Zurab Losaberidze. The vocational student is confident that the hands-on experience obtained through the program will greatly benefit students in their future careers.

The vocational program "Customs Affairs" has been implemented at the TSU Center of Vocational Education since 2018.
