TSU Employment Forum 2025

An Employment Forum was held through the joint organization of the Student Services and Career Development Center and the TSU Center of Vocational Education with the support of the employment agency HR.GE. The forum was attended by TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia, Vice-Rector Kakhaber Cheishvili, Head of the TSU Vocational Education Center Levan Tsikaridze, and HR.GE General Director Giorgi Kiknadze.

The aim of the forum was to promote employment and career development opportunities for students and graduates of TSU’s academic programmes and the Vocational Education Center.

Up to 50 Georgian companies were represented at the forum, offering participants relevant and field-specific vacancies aligned with both academic and vocational programmes.

According to TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia, Tbilisi State University has several key missions: first, to provide students with a European-standard education, and second, to ensure strong orientation toward the labor market. “Today, a very interesting event has opened at the university, with 46 companies participating. Such employment forums are held several times a year. I believe an effective model of cooperation between business and higher education has been established, one that will produce tangible results,” the Rector noted.

According to Levan Tsikaridze, Head of the TSU Vocational Education Center, the forum enables vocational students and graduates to communicate directly with employers and obtain valuable information that will contribute to their future career development. He also emphasized that the TSU Vocational Education Center consistently works to support both the employment of students and graduates and the implementation of short-term and long-term vocational training and retraining programmes that are in demand on the labor market.

A Memorandum of Cooperation between Tbilisi State University and the employment agency HR.GE was signed in 2023, after which several joint events have been held. According to Giorgi Kiknadze, General Director of HR.GE, the agency, as a co-organizer of the forum, participated in the form of an employment platform. “I am pleased that Georgian companies expressed their willingness to share vacancies with students and graduates, who are also actively seeking cooperation with these companies. I hope their interests will align,” he added.

Students and graduates of TSU’s academic and vocational programmes took part in the forum. As noted by TSU student Mariam Koplatadze, such forums are an excellent opportunity for students not only to receive education at the university, but also to become familiar with labor market trends and secure employment.
