The European School is seeking a dedicated and experienced IB Biology Teacher to join our dynamic and international academic team during maternity leave (1month). This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and contribute to a high-quality learning environment aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and rigorous Biology lessons in accordance with the IB Diploma Programme (DP) curriculum
• Foster critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and scientific curiosity among students
• Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with IB standards and school policies
• Support students in Internal Assessments (IA) and Extended Essays (EE)
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and interdisciplinary learning
• Participate actively in school life, including extracurricular activities and professional development

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology or a related field
• Recognized teaching qualification
• Experience teaching IB Biology (DP level preferred)
• Strong understanding of IB assessment criteria and methodologies
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to work in a multicultural and collaborative environment
• Proficiency in English (additional European languages are an advantage)
