Job Summary and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tableau Developer / BI Analyst to design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports that drive data-driven decision-making. This role requires deep expertise in Tableau, data modeling, SQL, and best practices for visualization. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable insights, ensuring efficient and scalable reporting solutions.

• Develop Advanced Tableau Dashboards: Design and implement highly interactive and insightful Tableau dashboards using best practices in visualization and performance optimization.
• Data Modeling & Transformation: Work with complex data sets, create calculated fields, LOD expressions, and optimize data extracts for performance.
• SQL & Data Querying: Write and optimize advanced SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and aggregate data from multiple sources (e.g., Snowflake, SQL Server, Redshift).
• Business Intelligence & Analytics: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into meaningful KPIs, reports, and dashboards.
• Automation & Performance Optimization: Optimize dashboards and queries for efficiency, ensuring quick load times and scalability.
• Security & Governance: Implement role-based security models and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
• Training & Documentation: Provide training to end-users, create documentation for dashboards, and establish best practices for reporting.
• Integration & ETL Support: Work with ETL developers and data engineers to structure and clean data for reporting needs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Success (competencies and traits):
• 4+ years of experience developing dashboards and reports in Tableau.
• Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions).
• Experience working with large-scale databases like Snowflake, Redshift, SQL Server, or BigQuery.
• Deep understanding of Tableau calculations, parameters, filters, actions, and LOD expressions.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience in performance tuning of Tableau workbooks and queries.
• Strong communication skills to translate business needs into effective visualizations.
• Familiarity with other BI tools like Power BI, Looker, or Qlik is a plus.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python or R for analytics is a bonus.

Duties are performed in a regular office environment.
