On October 29, a youth scientific conference titled “Geophysical Problems in the 21st Century” was held at the Mikheil Nodia Institute of Geophysics. The event was aimed at young scientists and students, with the goal of encouraging their involvement in scientific activities, developing their research skills, and fostering the integration of young people into the scientific field of geophysics.
Participants included undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. They presented reports on various current topics such as geoecology, environmental radioecological monitoring, seismology, geology, solar-terrestrial relations, and other modern issues in Earth physics.
The results of the event demonstrated the growing interest of young researchers, scientists, and students in the field of geophysics, their active involvement in research processes, and the importance of cooperation between universities and scientific institutes. The topics discussed during the conference will contribute to the scientific development of young researchers and to the strengthening of the field of geophysics in Georgia.
The event was organized with the support of the Mikheil Nodia Institute of Geophysics and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. The conference proceedings will be published in a special scientific collection.
