Meeting with Representatives of the University of Bologna at TSU

TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia held a working meeting with University of Bologna Rector Giovanni Molari and other university representatives.

 

During the meeting, they discussed the current relationship between the two universities and future cooperation. They focused on developing history, archaeology, and social and political sciences, as well as implementing joint research and educational projects. The parties also discussed student and staff exchange projects, as well as educational programs offering double diplomas and doctoral programs.

 

Giovanni Molari emphasized that the University of Bologna is ready to deepen cooperation with Georgia. He said they are actively working to strengthen their strategic partnership and have already funded several mobility projects through a European Union program. Rector Molari noted that their main priority is cooperating with various universities at academic levels and expressed his willingness to further strengthen relations with TSU, especially in humanitarian, social and political areas.

 

The deans of TSU's faculties of humanities and social and political sciences, Darejan Tvaltvadze and Salome Dundua, respectively, attended the event. The University of Bologna is one of the largest higher education institutions in Europe, with approximately 100,000 students and 7,000 employees. The university offers 260 educational programs.
