Jaba Samushia Meets with Students

Tbilisi State University Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia met with students from all seven faculties of TSU at various levels. At the meeting, the Rector briefly introduced the university's new initiatives to the students and discussed issues that will be implemented with their involvement in the near future.

The Rector focused on resolving the problem of duplicating educational courses and creating new textbooks. He said that within the next two or three years, TSU students will study updated curricula using textbooks that meet modern requirements.

About 60 projects were funded in the first stage of the student project funding competition at TSU. Jaba Samushia encouraged students to become more involved, emphasizing that they should take advantage of the opportunities offered by the university in the areas of science, sports, and culture.

The TSU Rector spoke with students about another important opportunity. He announced that doctoral students would have the opportunity to hold academic positions at the university. This will help attract young scientists and involve them in the educational process.

Jaba Samushia encouraged students to participate in the student festival, which includes activities in the intellectual, sports, cultural, and volunteer areas. The festival will include field trips, youth camps, and conferences.
