The main event of the year, the graduation ceremony for the 2025 bachelor’s and master’s degree recipients, took place at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia congratulated the graduates and wished them success: “You are the greatest treasure of our nation. The future of Georgia is in your hands. We are immensely proud of each of you. The most important things are hard work and faith in success. If you have these qualities, nothing in life is insurmountable.”
Members of the TSU Academic Council, deans of the faculties, and honored guests attended the event.
About 3,500 students received their degrees from TSU this year. The most outstanding graduates from each of the seven faculties, at both the undergraduate and master’s levels, were honored with certificates of excellence and commemorative gifts.
The event showcased a variety of materials created using contemporary technologies, including artificial intelligence. Medea Gambashidze, the university’s first AI-generated student, addressed 3,500 graduates.
The TSU Male Vocal Ensemble performed the Georgian national anthem, and the TSU Student Capella performed the student anthem, “Gaudeamus.”
As part of the event, a red maple was planted in the name of the 2025 graduates, continuing last year’s initiative to create an Alumni Alley.
Before the main ceremony began, graduates and their families had the opportunity to take commemorative photos in designated photo zones.
After the event, a party was held for TSU graduates in the inner courtyard of TSU Building 2, where the graduates were entertained by FE PROJECT, DJ 110, Monk B2B Mocongo.
