A high-density genetic map with array-based markers facilitates structural and quantitative trait locus analyses of the common wheat genome. Common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is allohexaploid possessing the genomic architecture of AABBDD, derived from Triticum turgidum L. (AABB) and Aegilops tauschii Coss. (DD). To facilitate molecular analyses of wheat further, the authors of this article constructed a high-resolution genetic map by using the next-generation sequencing technologies and a microarray-based detection system of polymorphisms. Consequently, they could add 13,056 new markers to the map.

Issue of Nucleic Acids Research

is the 12th in a series of annual special issues dedicated to web-based software resources for analysis and visualization of molecular biology data. The present issue reports on 80 web servers. This years special emphasis is on tools for synthetic biology design, analysis of high throughput sequencing data, network and pathway analysis, and biological text mining. Other major topic categories include analysis involving DNA and RNA; gene prioritization; drug-target interactions; and proteins, including structure, ligand binding, and functional site prediction. Progress of Theoretical and Experimental Physics

is international journal that publishes articles on theoretical and experimental physics. PTEP is the successor to Progress of Theoretical Physics (PTP), which terminated in December 2012 and merged into PTEP in January 2013. 

Regenerative Biomaterials is the official journal of the Chinese Society for Biomaterials

which will be an international, interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal concerning frontiers and advances in the new generation of biomaterials and regenerative medicine. The aim of the journal is to provide a forum for original research papers, reviews, clinical case reports, and commentaries on the topics relevant to development of advanced regenerative biomaterials. The Transactions of the London Mathematical Society

is a new fully open access journal that covers the same subjects as the Bulletin, Journal and Proceedings of the London Mathematical Society with whom it shares the LMS Editorial Advisory Board. It has a wide scope which ranges from number theory to functional analysis and from quantum field theory to the topology.
