TSU Law School Students Triumph at the Hugo Moot 2025

Students from the Faculty of Law at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) have achieved an outstanding success at the international moot court competition in European labour law – the Hugo Sinzheimer Moot Court Competition 2025, held in Bratislava, Slovakia. The event was hosted by the European Labour Authority.

The Hugo Moot is recognized as one of the leading academic competitions across Europe, aiming to deepen students’ practical understanding of labour law and procedural culture. This year’s edition brought together teams from universities across various European countries.

The TSU team delivered an exceptional performance, emerging victorious in a tense final round against the team from Italy. Prior to that, they defeated the teams representing Austria in the semifinals, and Poland and Slovenia in the quarterfinals. The winning team consisted of Salome Vardoshvili, Konstantine Pirtskhalashvili, Elene Kakulia, and Elene Kariauli. The team was coached by Associate Professor Sergi Jorbenadze from TSU’s Faculty of Law.

This remarkable achievement once again highlights the high academic standards and professional training provided by TSU’s Faculty of Law. We congratulate the team on their well-deserved victory and wish them continued success in their future endeavors.
