Tbilisi State University was represented at the Erasmus+ International Staff Week in Spain, where information about TSU and its vocational education programmes was shared with representatives of the world’s leading universities and training centres.

Within the framework of the week, Vice-Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Kakhaber Cheishvili, and Internationalisation Manager of the Vocational Education Centre, Natia Gabrichidze, held bilateral meetings with foreign colleagues. In addition to exchanging experiences, the discussions focused on opportunities for future cooperation.

The Erasmus+ International Staff Week, funded by the European Commission, was held in Málaga, Spain, from 1 to 6 June 2026. The programme included working meetings, presentations, discussions and face-to-face meetings, institutional visits and practical working sessions. Participants discussed common challenges in higher and vocational education and shared successful practices and innovative solutions.

During the visit, the International Staff Week was hosted by the Integrated Public Centre for Vocational Education “Alan Turing” and the Málaga Digital Content Innovation and Development Centre, where participants had the opportunity to learn about modern approaches to information technologies, digital services and support mechanisms for online learning. A meeting was also held with José Juan García Mayorga, Coordinator of Bilingual Programmes.

During the meetings with the Spanish hosts, an agreement was reached regarding international internship opportunities for students of the TSU Vocational Education Centre’s Front-End Development programme. The main areas of cooperation were also identified and promising prospects for partnership were outlined, creating additional opportunities for students to gain practical experience in the future.
