The 20th Faculty Scientific Conference opened at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Organized by the Faculty of Humanities and the TSU Museum, the conference was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the distinguished Kartveliologist and linguist, Professor Zurab Chumburidze.
TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia, addressed the guests with a welcoming speech. “Professor Zurab Chumburidze’s contributions to Kartvelology are not only a scientific legacy, but also an essential part of preserving and developing national culture. His works and activities remain a guide for young researchers and a source of inspiration for future generations,” said Rector Samushia.
The conference was attended by Darejan Tvaltvadze, dean of the TSU Faculty of Humanities, professors, students, and invited guests.
As part of the event, the TSU Museum opened an exhibition featuring Zurab Chumburidze’s personal archive and photographs. The exhibition emphasizes his rich scientific heritage and successful teaching career.
The conference will last two days.
