The 3rd International Conference on Vocational Education titled “Transforming Vocational Education in the Global Era: Innovation, Skills and Partnership” was organized by the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) Vocational Education Center. Attendees included TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia; Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Baia Kvitsiani; and representatives from the Parliament of Georgia, the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, the Youth Agency, and the Tbilisi City Hall. This annual conference aims to discuss the importance of vocational education, its challenges, innovations and career development opportunities.
The conference brought together vocational students and graduates, vocational teachers, and administrative staff from various vocational education institutions, as well as representatives of partner organizations from different countries.
It serves as a platform for sharing experiences, discussing innovative approaches, and exploring new opportunities for developing vocational education in a global context.

An excursion to Kakheti is planned for participants on July 4. The program includes a visit to the notable Gremi architectural monument, as well as a visit to the Temi social enterprise in the village of Gremi. Teachers and students have collected clothes, toys, food and sweets to donate to the enterprise’s beneficiaries.
Since 2024, the conference has been held annually, bringing together representatives of Georgian vocational education institutions and partner organizations. In 2026, the conference will expand to an international format, with foreign partners participating for the first time. In addition to Georgia, this year’s conference will feature reports from Spain, Estonia, and the Republic of Botswana.
