Academician Jaba Samushia, the Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, and Nino Burjaliani, the Principal of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi Public School No. 53, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The memorandum aims to foster educational, scientific and professional collaboration between the university and the school. It seeks to implement joint projects, training, and research activities; expand the capabilities of schoolchildren and teachers, and promote TSU's academic and vocational programs.
After the signing ceremony, the rector addressed the audience: “It is very important when a university establishes such a partnership. Years will pass and you will understand its importance. A university is a place where students receive not only knowledge, but also love for their homeland. A lecture is not just a formal process - it is the primary connection formed between students and lecturers, continuing the legacy of Ivane Javakhishvili. This path must continue, because it is your world and your everyday life.”
The event concluded with a screening of the documentary film ‘Ivane Javakhishvili 150’. The film was created through the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Culture of Georgia, Imedi TV and TSU. Marika Bakuradze is the author of the film.
