Born on January 24, 1952, in the village of Chkhari of Terjola district
Education
In 1973 he graduated from Georgian Polytechnic Institute, Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology; during the same year he started to work at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and Electrochemistry of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, first as a junior research fellow and later as a senior research fellow. 
1975-1978 - Postgraduate studies at the Georgian Academy of Sciences.
1984-1987 - Senior engineer-controller at one of the units of the All-Union Ministry of Finance
1992-2002 – Faculty Dean at Tbilisi State Institute of Economic Relations
2002-2003 – Deputy Rector of Tbilisi State Institute of Economic Relations
2003-2005 – Consultant/expert at the Energy Commission of the Tbilisi City Council (Sakrebulo)
2006-2010 – Head of Administration of Tbilisi State University of Economic Relations
Since 2010 – Deputy Head of Administration of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University
