Tea Gergedava

Tea Gergedava has served as the Head of the Department of Foreign Relations at TSU since 2006. Over the years, she has acquired extensive experience in student exchange, internationalization, and other types of project management via the various programs in which TSU has been involved. Tea Gergedava earned her Master of Education degree from Harvard University (2009, USA) and a professional diploma in Education Planning from the National University of Education Planning and Administration in New Delhi (2007, India). Tea Gergedava actively pursues and develops bilateral agreements, manages Erasmus Mundus consortia, collaborates with TSU’s international partners, and contributes to the management of TEMPUS projects of which TSU is a project partner.


Maia Menteshashvili

Deputy head of the Department of Foreign Relations. She has almost 13 years of experience in working at Tbilisi State University at various positions. For the last 6 years, her work has been focused on developing close links between TSU and world leading universities, reviewing contracts/partnerships and evaluating the terms of cooperation. The greatest part of Ms. Menteshashvili’s workload is to establish and maintain effective working relationships with foreign coordinators, provide services for international students, manage the necessary documentation, provide consultations for Georgian students who would like to study abroad, promote student and academic staff mobility, involve students, young scholars and academic staff into exchange.


Mari Kvirkvaia

Marina Kvirkvaia has been employed as a full staff member at TSU Department of Foreign Relations since 2007. The obligations and responsibilities entrusted to her at the Department include but is not limited to: seeking new partners and establishing collaborative links between TSU and the world’s leading universities and scientific-research institutions; drafting partnership agreements and memorandums of understanding; fostering TSU’s professional membership and networking in international educational associations.Furthermore, she undertakes the tasks of organizing the logistics of international conferences and seminars, hosting foreign delegations, and arranging business travel for TSU’s top management. She has got her diploma in English Philology.


Ani Chelishvili

Ani Chelishvili has worked as a full staff member of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) at the Department of Foreign Relations since 2007. She has been involved in the internationalization process by coordinating and managing different exchange programs with various partner universities at TSU, among them are Erasmus+ and Erasmus Mundus projects financed by European Union. She received her MA degree in European and International Policies and Crisis Management, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.


Irina Gamkrelidze

Irina Gamkrelidze has served as the German Exchange Program Coordinator at TSU since 2011. She received her MA degree in German Studies & Communication and Media Science from Heinrich-Heine-University in Düsseldorf (Germany). She currently manages over 8 student and faculty programs, as well as numerous bilateral agreement projects with TSU’s German-speaking partner institutions. Irina also functions as an international liaison and program coordinator in TSU’s collaborations with the DAAD, its German partner universities, and German events. In her previous work experiences, Irina specialized in International Marketing and Business development, which have equipped her with the necessary skills of business plan development, short and long term strategizing, as well as multicultural communication.


Ani Tvaltvadze

Ani Tvaltvadze has been working as a Senior Specialist at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University at the Department of Foreign Relations since 2014. Her duties at the Department are the following: assisting Erasmus+ exchange programs and drafting bilateral agreements. She Graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) with a degree in journalism in 2013. 


Ekaterine Basilaia

Ekaterine Basilaia has worked as a Project Coordinator at the Department of Foreign Relations since 2009. In her role as a Project Coordinator, Ekaterine develops concept papers and drafts proposals for various local and international projects (Tempus, Erasmus Mundus, GPAC-USAID, OSI), coordinates project implementation, and facilitates the strategic development of the Department of Foreign Relations at TSU. She has earned her Master of Science degree in Mass Communication from San Jose State University in California (USA).


Natia Kalandadze

Natia Kalandadze has worked as a coordinator at Tbilisi State University Department of Foreign Relations since 2012. Her main duty is to liaise with foreign embassies and consular services in Georgia and to prepare support letters for administrative and academic staff. She has got an MA degree in International Relations and European Studies from the University of Georgia.


Lela Katsadze

Lela Katsadze has been employed by Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) since November 2010, first as a Chief Specialist at the Department of Foreign Relations and later promoted as a Coordinator. After her working experience at the USA Embassy in Georgia and at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia her duties at TSU are the following: Assist academic staff and student mobility, facilitate the recruitment of exchange students and host foreign scholars and visiting professors. Lela got her Master of Philology degree in French in 2000 from Ilia State University.


Mariam Razmadze
Coordinator
Mariam Razmadze has been working as a coordinator at the Department of Foreign Relations at Tbilisi State University since 2012. She is in charge of coordinating exchange students’ and staff mobility at TSU. In addition, she makes administrative arrangements for foreign delegations visiting the university. She has earned her doctoral degree in the field of English Language Methodology. 


Elisabed Bzhalava
Coordinator
Elisabed Bzhalava has been working as a coordinator at the Department of Foreign Relations at Tbilisi State University since 2012. She is in charge of coordinating Mevlana exchange program    and staff mobility at TSU. In addition, she is an associate professor in Turkish studies  at the Faculty of Humanities.


Ekaterine Megrelishvili
Coordinator
Ekaterine Megrelishvili is working as a coordinator at the Department of Foreign Relations since 2016. She is in charge of coordinating the exchange programs with French Universities. She received her MA in French Literature from Paris 4 – Sorbonne and MA in Social Sciences from School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences.
